As we prepare to celebrate the Fourth of July, imagine the scene:
It’s a humid evening; the sun has finally set behind the hills beyond the lake, and the crowd of children and adults alike is pulsing with excitement. The anticipation has a life all its own—everyone is on edge, waiting. They are waiting for you.
You are the star of tonight’s show, the reason they are here. And as you prepare to explode across the sky in a shower of light and color, you are not inanimate at all. You are completely alive.
You are the fireworks.
